नयी दिल्ली। विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज ने विश्व हिन्दी दिवस के अवसर पर कहा हमें इस भाषा की स्थिति पर मंथन करना चाहिए तथा इस बात पर भी विचार करना चाहिए लोगों के बीच इसे बढ़ावा देने के लिये और क्या किया जा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा, कुछ लोग कहते हैं कि हम 14 सितंबर को हिंदी दिवस मनाते हैं तो फिर दस जनवरी को विश्व हिंदी दिवस क्यों मनाया जाता है। ऐसे लोगों से हम कहते हैं कि हम दो अलग अलग दिवस मनाते हैं, हम दोनों अवसर मनाते हैं। उन्होंने राष्ट्र निर्माण में हिंदी के योगदान पर दो किताबों का भी लोकार्पण किया। दरअसल 14 सितंबर इसलिए महत्वपूर्ण है कि क्योंकि हिंदी उसी दिन राजभाषा बनी थी जबकि 10 जनवरी इसलिये महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि इस दिन 1975 में नागपुर पहला विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन हुआ, जहां इस भाषा को वैश्विक मंच पर स्थापित का निश्चय किया गया था। ऐसे 11 वैश्विक सम्मेलन हो चुके हैं । हर तीन वर्ष पर यह सम्मेलन होता है। स्वराज ने कहा, लेकिन, हम हर साल इसे मनाते हैं, ताकि अपने आप को परख सकें और इस भाषा की स्थिति पर मंथन कर सके एवं यह विचार कर सकें कि लोगों के बीच इसे बढ़ावा देने के लिये और क्या किया जा सकता है। 1975 से भारत, मॉरीशस, ब्रिटेन, त्रिनिदाद एंड टोबेगो और अमेरिका जैसे देशों में विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया है।
